Both Cllr Anne-Marie Martin and newly elected Lord Mayor of Dublin Catherine Byrne spoke whilst Norma Mitchell spoke on behalf of her husband Gay who not suprisingly couldn't attend as he was representing the people of Dublin in the European Parliament.
The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Catherine Byrne, was born in Bluebell and reared in Inchicore.
She was elected to Dublin City Council for the South West Inner City Ward on her first attempt in 1999.
