"DUBTITLED" is an influential entertainment company founded by ( Michael )Mic Neumann in 1999 that is most prominently known for their unique style of dubbing voice overs, editing, and creating the international television series, "Kung Faux", in addition to work on popular video games, films, commercials, and music videos with top international artists from around the world.[1]. There are very few or no other articles that link to this one. ... Kung Faux is a comedy television series that remixes classic kung fu movies with popular music, comic book style editing and video game style special effects, and new voice-over dubbing from primarily hip hop personalities ranging from Gang Starrs Guru, Queen Latifah, Jean Grae, Mr. ...

"DUBTITLED" has also since become a word used in the fan based lexicon of primarily Asian entertainment product like Chinese kung fu films and Japanese "Anime" to describe a video with subtitles based on the dub translation instead of a translation of the original material.

Typically, "DUBTITLED" videos are translated more loosely than subtitled videos due to the requirement that the new audio track match up with the actor's native language dialog and mouth movements. Thus, a dubtitled movie or tv series usually contains a much more liberal dialog translation than a traditional subtitled movie translation.

"DUBTITLED" Entertainment is known for taking this idea of more liberal translations to the extreme while also working with some of the best award winning music artists in the world.

The "DUBTITLED" name as a word is a result of the fusion of the two words "DUB" and "SUBTITLED", which are two words that are referenced prominently when referring to international video product for film and televsision.

The original "DUBTITLED" logo found on the official website was the inspiration for the the logo seen today around the world for the platinum selling music group known as "The Killers" due to the owner of the original record label that signed the band also being friends with the owner of Dubtitled Entertainment.

Dubtitle (395 words)
A dubtitle is a term for a subtitled show recorded on DVD in which the subtitles are merely transcriptions of the dialogue spoken on the dubbed soundtrack rather than a translation of the original dialogue, without any localization.
Earlier, some VHS localizations would employ dubtitles for their original language tapes as well.
Another problem of dubtitling complained of by fans is that dubbed anime dialogue sometimes departs drastically from the original Japanese, while subtitles need to stay close to it, since they are read at the same time as the original soundtrack is heard.
