The Dubuque Regional Airport is a regional airport located near Dubuque, Iowa. The airport is about seven miles south of the city along U.S. Highway 61 on a parcel of land that is about 1,100 acres large. There are two runways for this airport. Downtown Dubuque and the Riverfront Dubuque is a city located in Dubuque County, Iowa. ... The airport is owned by the city of Dubuque, and is operated as a department of the city government. The city council appoints people to the Airport Commission board, which oversee the airport. People on the Airport Commission serve four year terms. For day to day operations, the Commission hires an airport manager to run the airport.


American Eagle Airlines provides service to and from O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois. They offer four flights per day, which generally take under an hour. Currently American Eagle is the only airline serving the airport. There is also a charter service which is run by Preister Aviation. The airport also offers maintainance and refuling services, including services for jets. The University of Dubuque has a flight operations center at the airport. This operations center provides for pilot training in the school's aviatation programs. This includes both ground school and actual flight training.
