Dundrum Town Centre is a shopping centre located in Dundrum, Dublin, Ireland. It is built on the site of the defunct Pye television factory. This, the largest shopping centre in Europe[citation needed], was built in a relatively built-up suburban area and bucks the current trend of building out-of-town (such as The Square, Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre). It consumes 13 MW of power, this is over a 7th of the output of Ardnacrusha power plant (86 MW). Dundrum town centre has over 160 shops with more than 80,000m2 of floor space.
