Reputation

Eastside is consistently ranked among the top 50 of America's high schools by Newsweek magazine, due to the number of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests it administers to students every year. Newsweek claims that their rankings indicate which schools are America's "best," but some argue that the use of this qualifier is misleading.[1] In an effort to clarify what the rankings actually mean, the Washington Post chose to state that the rankings actually denoted not the "best" American high schools, but rather the "most challenging" American high schools.[2] Newsweek Logo Newsweek is a weekly news magazine published in New York City and distributed throughout the United States,Canada, Hong Kong and probably other places too. ... Eh - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (762 words)
"Eh?" used to solicit agreement or confirmation is also heard regularly amongst speakers in Australia (where it is sometimes spelled "ay" on the assumption that "eh" would rhyme with "heh" or "meh").
Since usage of the word "eh" is not common in the United States as it is in Canada, it is often used by Americans to parody Canadian English.
Eh is also used in Italian spoken language to express surprise or misunderstanding, but also as a general word for turning an affirmation into a question.
