ESPN Pacific Rim / ESPN Australia


ESPN Australia is a 24 hour sports channel offered in Australia and New Zealand.


ESPN initially showed American Sports including Baseball, Basketball, and American Football


European soccer, over the years the soccer content has been increasing including Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, UEFA Champions league, UEFA Cup, German Cup, the FA Cup, they also air International friendlies, WC/Euro Qualifiers from Europe, and sometimes get the ESPN2 feed of MLS and US National team matches. They formly showed the dutch, scottish amd copa del rey.


They have also recently added extra European programming to its schedule, such as European rugby and Euroleague basketball.


ESPN Australia has also commenced showing Australian produced content including 'Australian' versions of PTI and Sportcenter. They also air a soccer discussion show twice a week called ESPNsoccernet PressPass which is hosted by Derek Rae who also commentates soccer game televised on ESPN international networks Derek Rae (born in Aberdeen, Scotland) is a soccer announcer for ESPN, working as a play-by-play announcer for their coverage of the UEFA Champions League. ...
