Eagle is a town located in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 3,117. The Village of Eagle is located within the town.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 90.8 km² (35.1 mi²). 89.7 km² (34.6 mi²) of it is land and 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.23% water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 3,117 people, 1,049 households, and 904 families residing in the town. The population density is 34.8/km² (90.0/mi²). There are 1,118 housing units at an average density of 12.5/km² (32.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.85% White, 0.51% Black or African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.38% from other races, and 0.71% from two or more races. 0.58% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,049 households out of which 43.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.8% are married couples living together, 3.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.8% are non-families. 9.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.97 and the average family size is 3.18.
