Eamonn Campbell (born 29 November1946, in Drogheda, CountyLouth, Eire) has been a member of The Dubliners since 1887. He was also in the dubliners when they recorded their 25th anniversary show on the late late show hosted by Gay Byrne, he is known as a guitarist and has a very rough voice very similar to ex dubliner Ronnie Drew, he is still touring with The Dubliners. It was on his suggestion that the Dubliners work with London Irish band the Pogues in the mid 80’s thus giving them their biggest UK hit to date ("The Irish Rover") and an appearance on Top of the Pops.
Eamonn joined the Dubliners on numerous occations as a guest, especially when Luke Kelly became ill. The first Dubliners album he produced was 25 Years Celebration, and it was Eamonn's idea that the Dubliners and the Pogues should get together.
