The Earl of Abergavenny was an East Indiaman which was wrecked in Weymouth Bay, England in 1805. She was one of the largest built and was captained by William Wordsworth's brother John.


Nowdays, she lies in 16 m (50 ft) of water and less than 3 km (2 miles) from the beach at Weymouth. There are several rows of wooden posts sticking out the sand. Visibility is rarely more than 3 m (10 ft). The temperature ranges from 5 to 16 °Celsius depending on the season.
