The East Lansing Film Festival is the largest film festival in the state of Michigan. It screens well over 100 films in five days, including several shorts programs. It is held yearly, usually in late March. The focus is to present a diverse selection of independent and foreign features, documentaries, shorts and student films. An offshoot of the festival is the East Lansing Children's Film Festival, usually held in late February or early March. The festival is operated by the East Lansing Film Society. The ELFS screens films year-round on the MSU campus.
