Eastland County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 18,297. Its county seat is Eastland6. Eastland is named for William Mosby Eastland, a soldier during the Texas Revolution and the only officer to die as a result of the Black Bean executions.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,414 km˛ (932 mi˛). 2,398 km˛ (926 mi˛) of it is land and 15 km˛ (6 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 0.63% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 91.03% White, 2.18% Black or African American, 0.48% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 4.83% from other races, and 1.25% from two or more races. 10.80% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 7,321 households out of which 27.70% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.40% are married couples living together, 9.50% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.20% are non-families. 28.60% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.20% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.39 and the average family size is 2.93.
