Easton's Bible Dictionary generally refers to the Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Third Edition, by Matthew George Easton (1823-1894) was a Scottish Presbyterian preacher and writer. His most known work is the Eastons Bible Dictionary (1897), published three years after his death. Another notable work were the English translations of two of Franz Delitzschs commentaries.
