Eastwest Records was started in 1955 as a subsidiary label of Atlantic Records. The label had one hit with The Kingsmen and went into hibernation until 1990, when Atlantic revamped the imprint as EastWest Records America. By the new millennium, budget cuts at Warner Music Group forced Elektra to deactivate EastWest Records, dropping some of its acts while others were shifted over to Elektra itself. Recorded and mixed @ Uncle Punchy's in Silver Spring, MD in 1992.
This is the re-release of the discontinued EP "Passive Restraints." The first 3 tracks were on the original EP, and the last 2 appeared on the Earache Records Compilation "Naive." "Pile Driver" is also on the "Pitchfork" 12 inch.
Recording is complete, but track listing is off by one song secondary to omitting one of the instrumentals on the track list.
