On May 26, 2006, the album release dates were announced, along with the revelation of "Easy" as the leadoff single for late June (the announcement came from the band's German management, and was subsequently confirmed by the band's North American official websites). On June 6, the band announced a contest in which they provided the separate instrument tracks to "Easy" and asked fans to submit remixes of the songs. A 4-track split of the song (percussion and bass, guitars, keyboards, and vocals) was released for free on the band's myspace.com page, while their official website offered a complete "16-track" (11 tracks, 5 in stereo) download package for a small price, for a more thorough split of the song.
