Ebolowa is the capital of Cameroon's South Province. A colonial town it is notably a centre for agriculture. The main crop is cocoa. It also hosts an important number of administrative services, being the capital of both the South Province and the Mvila district. Tarred roads link Ebolowa to Mbalmayo, Sangmelima and Amban.
