KOCHI: The 70-km stretch between Edapally and Thrissur on National Highway 47 will soon be handed over to a private contractor to be maintained on Build Operate Transfer (BOT) basis.
Project director of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Srinivasulu Naidu said that the agency would hand over the stretch to a contractor by September end.
The BOT project involves converting the two-lane stretch in between Angamaly and Thrissur into a four-lane road and maintenance of the existing four-lane roads in between Angamaly and Edapally.
