En Julio del 1999, EdgarPonce se traslada a New Jersey, Estados Unidos, determinado a encontrar algún modo de ayudar a su familia a mejorar su estado económico, al mismo tiempo se integra al coro hispano de la Iglesia Holy Trinity (Santísima Trinidad) en New Jersey, donde participa por dos años.
Edgar escogió el nombre de esta canción como título de su producción por varias razones.
