The Edmonton International Film Festival is an annual competition and showcase of independent films from around the world. The festival dates for 2005 are September 30 to October 8.


The Edmonton International Film Festival is a celebration of independent film, and the strength of spirit that goes into making these non-Hollywood movies. Presenting movies from across the planet, the festival strives to bring new ideas, new ways of storytelling, and even finding stories themselves that the people of northern Alberta might have no other opportunity to experience.
