Edmund Jackson Davis (October 2, 1827– February 7, 1883) was an American lawyer and politician from Texas. He served as a Union Army Brigadier General in the Civil War and was a controversial Governor of Texas as a Radical Republican during Reconstruction. John Henninger Reagan helped oust him after he tried to stay in office beyond the end of his term.
