Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,981 km˛ (1,151 mi˛). 2,967 km˛ (1,146 mi˛) of it is land and 14 km˛ (6 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 0.48% water.
