Eduard Engelmann jr. was not only figure skater but also a cyclist and one of the founders of the Wiener Cyclisten-Clubs (Cyclists club of Vienna). He won three times the figure cyclist championships for mono wheal cycles of the German cyclist union.


In 1944 Shortly after the death of Eduard Engelmann jr. his artificial ice rink in Vienna-Hernals was bombed and totally destroyed. It was rebuild after World War II and reopened in 1946. Today there is a supermarket on this area, which has an artificial ice rink since 1974 again.
