Najera signed a new six-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks worth $24 million prior to the start of this season, his third in the National Basketball Association, that he says keeps him on track to play in the league for ten years.
Najera was born in Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico, the seventh child of Servando Najera and Rosa Irene Perez.
After Najera's first year, Oklahoma coaches pulled him aside and told him that despite all the struggles he had endured, the NBA was a possibility.
04.08.07 EduardoNajera, who returned to action Saturday, said his leg is still sore but he plans to play through the pain for the remainder of the season.
Najera, by the way, terminated his agent last week and is expected to exercise his contract option for next season.
Najera is one of the players who's much more valuable in the real world anyways, so don't sweat it.
