A member of the U.S. Fencing Team which defeated Cuba in 1939 and a fencer in Italy, EdwardCarfagno was appointed to the 1940 U.S. Fencing Team in Foil.
Carfagno was a member of the team for three years and, in his senior year, became Captain of the team.
