Background Edward Harrelson was born in C.E. 43, and by 28, he became a fighter pilot for the USSA, but was later integrated into the Earth Alliance's military when the Alliance conquered the USSA. He has an ordinary record as a fighter pilot, but when piloting mobile suits, he distinguished himself with excellent hand-to-hand combat skills. He has earned the nickname "Ed the Ripper" and is said to be "the strange man who uses his fighter in close combat". He earned the nickname when he used the F-7D Spearhead's wing to slice an AME-WAC01 DINN Electronic Installation Type, and after a battle, he usually comes back with his suit/fighter soaked in oil, as if it were blood. Underneath the combat experience, however, Harrelson is a gentle man, and is trusted by all his subordinates. During his time in the Earth Alliance, he developed a romantic relationship with fellow mobile suit pilot Jane Houston, a prominent member of the USSA rebellion against the Earth Alliance. They later dissolved the relationship for unknown reasons. This article is being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedias deletion policy. ...

He first pilots a F-7D Spearhead atmospheric fighter, then pilots a new GAT-01 Strike Dagger. He later test pilots one of the GAT-333 Raider Full Spec mass production mobile suits, which he steals later on. Soon after, he is assigned to a squad of GAT-01D1 Duel Daggers but his retires his unit after sustaining severe damage. After that, he is assigned the mobile suit that will make him a legend: GAT-X133 Sword Calamity Unit 02. He painted it orange, with his personal emblem: two swords crossing each other, with a rose in the center. His Sword Calamity, along with Unit 01, takes part in the Second Battle of Jachin Due, and Harrelson engaged in combat with ace Mikhail "Doctor" Coast and his squad of ZGMF-1017M GINN High Maneuver Type units. It's rumored he even engaged the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam at Jachin Due, though this remains unconfirmed. Gundam SEED Destiny Astray After the war Edward became disillusioned with the EA, and soon defected to the USSA to lead his people to independence. He used his Sword Calamity Unit 02 and a Raider Full Spec he stole. He engaged in combat separately (on different occasions) with Jane Houston, Morgan Chevalier and Rena Imelia. After combat with the latter, in which both Units 01 and 02 were severely damaged, Harrelson left his damaged mobile suit to check on his opponent, and upon opening her cockpit was shot by a severely injured Rena and was thus sent to Aprillus One by Jess Rabble for medical treatment by none other than Mikhail Coast. Edward recovered and stayed at PLANT until CE 73 when he is arrested to be brought back to the Earth Alliance. He however is able to escape. He joins Terminal with Morgan, Riika, with the aid of Jean Carrey. He is only seen animated once, in a short OAV promoting Gundam SEED Astray and SEED-MSV model kits. In this, he is seen battling ZAFT forces, and MBF-P03-2 Astray Blue Frame Second pilot Gai Murakumo. A character from the Cosmic Era timeline of the fictional Gundam anime metaseries. ...
