Efes Beverage Group is a system of companies producing and marketing beer, malt and soft drinks across geography of Turkey, Russia, the CIS countries and Southeast Europe. The Group is the beverage division of the Anadolu Endüstri Holding A.S. (Anadolu Group), one of Turkey's leading conglomerates. Anadolu Group was founded by Yazici and Özilhan families in the early 1950's and has principal interests in beverage, automotive, finance, writing instruments and office supplies sectors. A majority of Anadolu Group companies conduct their businesses through partnerships and joint ventures with a number of international corporations like Coca-Cola, Interbrew, SAB Miller, Warsteiner, Isuzu, Lombardini, Faber-Castell, and Cetelem.

Commencing its operations with two domestic breweries in Turkey in 1969, Efes Beverage Group's beer business today comprises a total of 14 breweries, 4 malteries and 1 hop processing facility in 7 countries, coupled with various companies for distribution, licensing and technical support. Currently total annual brewing capacity of the Group is close to 18 million hl whereas the total malting capacity is around 150,000 tons per annum.

Efes Pilsener, the flagship beer brand of the group, is exported to more than 40 countries around the world including the United Kingdom, Germany, USA and Japan.

Efes Beverage Group is also active in the soft drinks business. The Group is the largest local shareholder of the Coca-Cola franchise in Turkey that delivers an annual bottling capacity of 375 million unit cases. In addition, Efes Beverage Group owns and operates one of the largest carbonated soft drinks systems in Central Asia to conduct Coca-Cola bottling, sales and distribution operations in countries like Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, with a total bottling capacity of circa 43 million unit cases.

The group sponsors a large number of social, cultural and sports activities in addition to its usual industrial and commercial activities. Efes Beverage Group has donated large amounts of money to support movie and theater productions, musical shows and concerts as well as archeological and sports activities. Efes Pilsen Basketball Team, which has won the Koraç Cup and qualified several times to Final Four in the European championship, is among the most powerful teams in Europe.
