EgyptSat-1 is Egypt's first Earth remote sounding Satellite. Suspected Purposes

Egyptsat 1 is suspected by many Israeli officials to be a spy satellite with sole purpose of taking spying on and taking of Israeli military facilities.

Equipment

Egyptsat 1 is considered a micro-satellite weighing only 100 kg. It is carrying two devices onboard. An infrared sensing device and a high resolution multispectral imager together with forward communications payload.
