Eirika is the princess of Renais, one of six countries in the fictional continent of Magvel. She fights using swords, specifically the rapier and the legendary Sieglinde, one of the "sacred twin" weapons of Renais (Siegmund the lance, wielded by Ephraim, is Sieglinde's counterpart). She is a competent swordfighter, having learned the art of swordplay from her brother Ephraim, the crown prince of Renais. However, she would rather talk things over than participate in a fight. Also notable is her inherent gullibility, as mentioned and demonstrated numerous times throughout the game. Ephraim is a fictional character from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. ...
After her country is unexpectedly attacked by its long-time ally, the Grado Empire, she is sent off with her father's most trusted paladin, Seth, to reunite with her brother, who had gone missing two years prior. They are eventually reunited in the allied country of Frelia. Eirika and Ephraim part ways soon thereafter, Ephraim leading an assault on Grado, and Eirika travelling Magvel to gain support from the other countries of Magvel.
Eirika tells him that she did not kill Glen; Cormag realizes that Valter must have killed his brother, and joins her army for the sake of avenging his brother.

Eirika is an evasive character, but unlike most characters of the same kind on the series, she has decent Defense growth, thus making her better than most evaders.
One notable way this game differs is the return of FireEmblem Gaiden's World Map concept: instead of only training and buying items during battle, players can train units, purchase weapons and manage units, all on the map screen.
Eirika and Ephraim decide to enlist the help of the other nations in combating the global threat posed by Grado's aggressive campaign to destroy the Sacred Stones.
Eirika and Ephraim use the Sacred Stone of Rausten to imprison the soul of the Demon King.
