Ekbatan Town (Persian: شهرک اکباتان) is a part of Tehran, Iran.It is the biggest residential complex in Tehran. It is the location of one of the Tehran Monorail stations. Persian, also called Farsi or Parsi, is an Indo-European language spoken in Iran (Persia), Afghanistan, Tajikistan and by minorities in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Southern Russia, neighboring countries, and elsewhere. ... The Construction of the Ekbatan complex started in 1975 for the purpose of mass housing. It has 15,500 units on an area of 2,208,570 m2 located in western Tehran. It was actually built by the Americans. it is called "Shahrake Ekbatan".
