EL or El may mean:

  • Electroluminescence, an optical and electrical phenomenon where a material such as a natural blue diamond emits light when an electric current is passed through it.
  • El (god), a Semitic word for 'god' and the word for God in the Tanakh.
  • El (Canaanite god), a particular northwest Semitic father god who was head of many pantheons and by some identified with God in the Tanakh.
