Eldorado is a town located in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,447.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 93.9 km² (36.2 mi²). 92.6 km² (35.8 mi²) of it is land and 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.30% water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 1,447 people, 490 households, and 420 families residing in the town. The population density is 15.6/km² (40.5/mi²). There are 506 housing units at an average density of 5.5/km² (14.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 99.45% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.14% from other races, and 0.07% from two or more races. 0.55% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 490 households out of which 38.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.0% are married couples living together, 4.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 14.1% are non-families. 12.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.95 and the average family size is 3.21.
