Eldorado is a village located in Preble County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 543.
Geography
Eldorado is located at 39°54'14" North, 84°40'33" West (39.903889, -84.675781)1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.6 km˛ (0.2 mi˛). 0.6 km˛ (0.2 mi˛) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 543 people, 212 households, and 156 families residing in the village. The population density is 911.5/km˛ (2,375.8/mi˛). There are 225 housing units at an average density of 377.7/km˛ (984.4/mi˛). The racial makeup of the village is 99.63% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.37% from two or more races. 0.18% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 212 households out of which 38.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% are married couples living together, 7.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% are non-families. 24.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.56 and the average family size is 2.99.
