Electronics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (1266 words)
The field of electronics is the study and use of systems that operate by controlling the flow of electrons or other electrically charged particles in devices such as thermionic valves and semiconductors.
Components are intended to be connected together, usually by soldering to a printed circuit board, to create an electronic circuit with a particular function (for example an amplifier, radio receiver, or oscillator).
Components may be packaged singly (resistor, capacitor, transistor, diode etc) or in more or less complex groups as integrated circuits (operational amplifier, resistor array, logic gate etc).
Electronic component connector - Patent 6142823 (3174 words)
An electronic component has first and second contacts positioned at the first and second radius to electrically engage the first and second connection sections when the electronic component is contained in the indentation.
The connector 1 is attached to the electronic component with shock a absorbing material 4 being interposed between the connector 1 and the housing 5.
The electronic component connector according to the present invention is applicable not solely to attachment of electronic component which issues sound, such as a speaker, but is also applicable to any type of electronic components so long as a circular electronic component is connected to the circuit board.
