Electro Punk is also a prominent sub-culture which embraces the artistic natures of punk/rock collectively with the dance/electronica scene. Many followers of the trend refer to themselves as 'conforming against conformists' due to the fact that electro punk embraces the ideology of individuality. There has been some criticism due to the fact that electro-punk doesn’t particularly point towards individuality, and is the same as any other sub-culture. This is in fact false, as although electro punk follows certain rock/punk and dance/electronic trends collectively people involved in the sub culture are not as mainstream as other sub cultures (such as the emos).
