Plot

Continuing from Daredevil, Elektra is revived after dying from the mortal wounds she suffered from Bullseye, by the Order of the Hand, a group of assassins who helped train her. She is assigned by the Hand's leader, Kirigi (Yun Lee), to hunt down Mark Miller (Visnjic), and his 13-year-old daughter, Abby, whom the Hand require for their order. Elektra discovers that Miller is an ally of her former mentor, Stick (Stamp), who helped to train Daredevil after he was blinded. The two of them take on the Order of the Hand, and equipped with her trademark Sais, Elektra takes on Kirigi. Bullseye (full real name unknown; an alias he has used is Poindexter; his first name is known from Daredevil v2 #49 (September 2003) to be Lester and in Bullseye: Greatest Hits he is called Leonard during flashback sequences, though it is unclear how much of those flashback sequences are true... Elektra the warrior is released from the hospital after a near death experience to become an assasin.
Apparently she missed the scene at the very beginning of the movie where a narrator tells us that someone, a female, is supposed to balance the forces of good and evil, and that both good and evil where trying to recruit this female.
One of the biggest problems this movie had to overcome is the fact that the three "Matrix" movies have significantly raised the bar for action/fight sequences.

The movie is more mystical and magical than most of the other comic books recently adapted for the big screen.
