Bulou Elenoa Misikini Vavaitamana (died 4 December 2005) was a chief on the Fijian island of Kadavu. In 1979, she succeeded her uncle, Ratu Tomasi Verenakadavu, as Tui Ono, or Chief of Ono, becoming the first female chief on the island. She was chosen despite being only the third eldest of five sisters and a brother. Bulou is a title used by Fijian women of chiefly rank on the island of Kadavu. ...
