Elgin Township is a township located in Wabasha County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 787.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 90.6 km² (35.0 mi²). 90.6 km² (35.0 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

As of the census² of 2000, there are 787 people, 260 households, and 221 families residing in the township. The population density is 8.7/km² (22.5/mi²). There are 268 housing units at an average density of 3.0/km² (7.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.11% White, 0.00% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 0.25% from two or more races. 0.64% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
