Elizabeth Tyrrell, daughter of James Ussher, AnglicanArchbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, and Phoebe Ussher (née Challoner) was born in London in 1619. Around 1653 she married Sir Timothy Tyrrell, of Oakley, Buckinghamshire. They later moved from Oakley to Shotover. They had four sons and eight daughters, the first son being James Tyrrell.
