Ellesmere Road is a major east-west road in the Scarborough part of Toronto. Originally the First Concession of Scarborough Township (1850-1967), a hamlet once called Ellesmere, was likely named after the English town, was established in the 1840s, and gave its name to the road; the community is remembered by the Ellesmere-Statten Elementary School between Birchmount and Kennedy Roads. {{Canadian City/Disable Field={{{Disable Motto Link}}}}} Motto: {{Canadian City/Location Image is:{{{Location Image Type}}}|[[Image:{{{Location Image}}}|thumbnail|250px|City of Scarborough (Dissolved), Ontario, Canada Location. ...
