Elliot's Pheasant or the Chinese Barred-backed Pheasant, Syrmaticus ellioti, is one of of five species in the syrmaticus genus. It was named after the American ornithologist Daniel Giraud Elliot. It lives in Southeastern China, in well forested areas, up to altitudes of 6,200 feet.
