The Elmer E. Rasmuson Library is the largest library in Alaska, housing more than 1.75 million volumes. It is located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. Collections include the Alaska and Polar Regions section, which encompasses books and periodicals, historical manuscripts and photographs, the oral history collection, newspapers, rare books and maps, and the Alaska Film Archives. The BioSciences Library is a branch of the Rasmuson library, housed in the Institute of Arctic Biology.
