Elmore is a rather small town, supporting around 600 residents, many falling into the senior citizens demographic. Despite its small size Elmore is host to quite an array of tourist attractions. The main street has a funky new cafe gallery painted bright orange: Gallery Latte, a rustic antique store: Elmore Olde Wares, a wine tasting store and a quaint haberdashery: Very Cushy. Elmore still has its old favourites; IGA supermarket, Fish and Chip shop, BP service station, Newspower newsagent, The Railway Hotel and the Victoria Hotel, Scamper in cafe, a branch of Rushworth Pharmacy, the Post Office. The Elmore Bakery requires special mention, its reputation having spread around half the state, the newly refurbished bakehouse bakes its own bread, cakes, pies and serves brilliant luches to the passer by as well as many locals. In the first week of October, Elmore becomes a hot spot for farmers all over the state as one of Australia's largest field days is underway, the Elmore Field Days.
