The Petrol Riots refer the outbreaks of racial violence that occurred in the Welsh capital of Cardiff in the council suburb of Ely during April 1991. Angry mobs gathered in the streets thowing milk bottles filled with petrol and rotten eggs and launched a series of attacks on local shops and housing.
