Emile Lugosch made a motion to enter into executive session for the purpose of discussing board members’ performance and evaluation pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. Susan Taylor seconded the motion which passed by a unanimous vote.
Bouchard would like to see a position that is a full time position combining the two needs.
Bouchard gave an overview of the past two and a half months concerning this matter and said he could not recommend rescinding the resignation.
In 1946-47 he scored 45 goals and was awarded the Hart Trophy as the most valuable player.
The team used the occasion to organize a special event at which the members of the Hockey Hall of Fame (including Butch Bouchard, Jean Béliveau, Guy Lafleur, and Robert M. Gainey) and former captains were introduced.
Bouchard carried the torch, and then passed it to Richard, who had succeeded him as captain in 1956.
