Emilio Jacinto(December 15,1875-April 16,1899)"The Brains of the Katipunan "He was born in Trozo, Manila.He is the son of Mariano Jacinto and Josefa Dizon. He was fluent in both Spanish and Tagalog,but when he was young he spoke more of Spanish.He studied in the university of Santo Tomas.He did not finish college,when he was 20 years old,He joined the secret society called Katipunan.because he was very brillant,he became the advisor,fiscal and secretary to Andres Bonifacio. He was also wrote for the Katipunan newspaper called Kalayaan,meaning Freedom in Tagalog.He writes in the newspaper under the name Dimasilaw and in the Katipunan,he is called Pingkian.After Andres Bonifacio was executed,he continued fighting the Spaniards.In April 16,1899,He contracted malaria and died at the young age of 23.Later on his bones were transferred to the Manila North Cemetery after some time.
