Emily Jean Perkins (born May 4, 1977) is a Canadian actress, born in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has appeared in various Canadian and American movies and television series. As a child actress, she was most notably recognized for her portrayal in three made for television movies: 1989's Small Sacrifices, opposite Farrah Fawcett, Ryan O'Neal and John Shea, 1990's Anything to Survive, where she was the sister of Matt Le Blanc, and 1990's Stephen King's IT, with a young Jonathan Brandis and Seth Green. She is currently most famous for her roles in the films Ginger Snaps (2000), Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed and Ginger Snaps Back, the later two being released in 2004. In 2004, Perkins and her live-in boyfriend adopted Perkins' two cousins, then aged 10 and 13, because their birth parents were unable to care for them. From June of 2001 until the show's end, she had a recurring role on the television series Da Vinci's Inquest. She taught acting at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth during the 2005-2006 academic year.
