Emmitt Thomas is an American football Player born June 3, 1943. He was one of the finest cornerbacks of his era. He owns the Chiefs all-time interception record with 58 which places him eighth on the NFL's all-time list. He led the AFL in picks in 1969 with 9. He played in 181 career games, tying for the 5th-most in club annals. He returned 5 interceptions for touchdowns. He had an interception in the Chiefs Super Bowl IV triumph over the Minnesota Vikings. He made the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent from Bishop College in Dallas. Wore jersey number 18.
