Emperor Jagang is a dreamwalker: a person who had some attributes removed witj Subtractive Magic and others added with Additive Magic. Both kinds of Magic can be found in Terry Goodkind's award winning Sword of Truth series. Jagang is the leader of the Imperial Order: a vast army that comes from the Old World, one of Goodkind's World's two main continents. The Imperial Order wants to end all magic in humankind, and will do anything and kill anyone to accomplish this objetive. Contrary to their own beliefs, they use Magic-Users like Sisters of the Dark and Sister of the Light to accomplish that goal. These powerful people are controlled by Jagang's power as a dreamwalker: he enters their minds and do with them as he wills it. The only protection against the dreamwalker's power is the oath of allegiance created by Auric Rahl, ancestor of Richard Rahl, the Seeker of Truth: the hero in Goodkind's series. Originally, Jagang had a little bit of color to him, but in this book, Goodkind goes out of his way to make him seem like a complete personification of evil.
His troops, like Jagang, have no sense of right, and are unable to do one "ethical" and right thing.
Jagang and all the Goodkind's villains however, have none of that, and are just a hoard of zombies who are bigger stronger and have infinate numbers.
