Emporia State University (ESU) is a comprehensive Regents university serving residents of Eastern Kansas. ESU is located in the city of Emporia, in Lyon County. ESU is just east of the Flint Hills and within two hours drive of the three major metropolitan areas of Kansas: Wichita, Topeka, and Kansas City.
