Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson (appr. 1390s - 1436) was a Swedish statesman and rebel leader. He was the leader of the Engelbrekt rebellion in 1434 against Eric of Pomerania, the king of the Kalmar Union. In 1435 he was appointed commander of the national forces (rikshövitsman) at the first Riksdag in Arboga. On May 4, 1436 he was assassinated on an island in Lake Hjälmaren by Måns Bengtsson (Natt och Dag).

The Engelbrekt rebellion was a rebellion in 1434-1436 led by Swedish nobleman Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson against Eric of Pomerania, the king of the Kalmar Union.
In January 1435 Engelbrekt summoned representatives from the four Estates to a Diet in Arboga, which later has been called the first Riksdag of the Estates (although it is uncertain whether the peasants really participated).
The Engelbrekt rebellion caused the unity of the Kalmar Union to erode, leading to the expulsion of Danish forces from Sweden.
