Overview

The legend

According to legend, Entei was capable of running 1,000 leagues in a day (to do so would require an average speed of 125 miles per hour). His reflexes were mentioned as "swift beyond imagination".

The legend continues, saying long ago there was a death match between thousands of yōkai and evil humans, vying for a single prize: Entei. Only the strongest person or yōkai are allowed to ride on him.

Together with his chosen champion, Entei and the yōkai Rengokuki started a killing spree that was only stopped by Master Shinsen, a monk with amazing spiritual powers so strong that he could seal demons with ease. The fight between them lasted 3 days and Shinsen was finally able to complete his exorcism. In the process Akago was cut in half by Master Shinsen with his remaining power, but Akago did not die and both parts of his body survived (one of them spawned Hakudōshi while the other kept Akago's form).
